Sunset Gold

Softer sunset gold for gentle, mid-accent warmth
About Sunset Gold
Sunset Gold reads like a late-afternoon glare on warm metal, not a breakfast syrup splash. It's in the same golden family as the nearby toast and griddle shades, but it comes across more golden and less toasted than Deep Fried Sunrays, and it's drier and more directional than Mom's Pancake's softer, syrupier yellow. Compared with Orange Delight, it holds less peel-bright orange and more mellow gold heat, so it doesn't tip peach.
For UI, I like it as the one you reach for when your green layout needs a confident highlight that still feels friendly, especially in grocery promos, quick-serve menu modules, and snack-brand merchandising where you're stacking product photos over pale greens. It also works well on onboarding and settings screens for section labels and CTA pills that need to stand out without looking like "sale neon."
Quirk: beside very cool grays, it can look a bit sharper and more reflective, so keep it next to creamy off-whites or light sage if you want it to feel rounded, not metallic.
