Paper White
#f6efdf
Brighter, neutral gray-white for clean modern panels
About Paper White
On my monitor, Paper White feels like the quiet base behind a page that still needs texture. It's extremely light, but it doesn't disappear into blankness the way some near-whites do. The gray in it is subtle and cool-leaning, so it reads more measured than Béchamel's cream warmth, and more deliberate than Fresh Snow's almost-edge-of-white softness.
I use it when I need a clean stage for content that can't fight the background: editorial layouts, SaaS dashboards and publishing platforms, and product pages where tables, charts, and captions have to stay legible without looking heavy. Compared to Béchamel, it holds back on the cream undertone. Compared to Fresh Snow, it shows more "gray" presence while staying warmer than pure white in a restrained, practical way. Pair it with mid-tone type or charcoal accents and it keeps the layout airy.
Quirk: because the undertone is cool and faint, it can make warm photography look slightly flatter than on Béchamel. Test with your real images before you commit to large panels.
