NYC Taxi
#f7b731
Drier taxi-gold amber for crisp, high-contrast highlights
About NYC Taxi
NYC Taxi reads like a clean yellow pulled from the real world: lighter than the richer golds, and a bit less saturated than Glowing Lantern, so it doesn't feel heated. It lands in that "notice-me" band without slipping into the crisp, almost daylight-bright tone of Glistening Dawn. Compared to Corona, it's more lightly weighted, less punchy, with a calmer undertone that feels closer to taxi-sign daylight than streetfire.
I reach for it on dashboards and finance apps where you want highlights that show up fast but don't bully the rest of the UI. It's great for step indicators, invoice and receipt emphasis, and sales or delivery banners in SaaS and fintech. It also behaves well on packaging graphics for quick-service and retail promos where you need that "bright but controlled" signal.
Quirk: on very warm creams it can start looking a touch pale and flat. If the background is already golden, pair it with cooler grays or fresh minty greens to keep the tone anchored.
