Waxy Corn

Softer waxy yellow for muted, sunny UI accents
About Waxy Corn
Waxy Corn is the cheerful yellow I notice on glossy labels and bright product stickers, but it reads softer and more buttery than the sharper "coin" yellows around it. Compared with Curry Bubbles, it has less of that steamy green-leaning clarity and more of a smooth, pale-gold coat. Compared to Imperial Yellow, it backs off the taxi-sign punch and feels less hard-edged.
I reach for it in dashboards and finance apps when the highlight needs to feel friendly, not aggressive, especially for step indicators, inline badges, and KPI callouts on light UI. It also does well in retail and e-commerce packaging details where you want a quick attention grab without drifting into honey or orange. Between it and Glistening Dawn, Waxy Corn stays gentler and more mellow, with a calmer lift and less glossy "edge glare."
Pair it with crisp off-whites or pale sage so it stays clean; next to very warm creams it can start to look slightly acidic, like yellow paint overpowered by beige.
