Jack-O
#fb9902
More amber and softer than cheese tones
About Jack-O
Jack-O reads like a brighter, more golden pumpkin glow that still stays clean on the first glance. Compared to Cheese Please, it doesn't feel quite as hot or as bluntly orange. Compared to Dragon Ball, it keeps more depth in the yellow and less of that snack-bright, candy-lit wash. And against Deep Saffron, it's lighter and more buoyant, with a sunnier undertone that feels faster, not heavier.
I reach for it when I need a highlight that scans instantly without looking like a "stop" color. It shows up well in food delivery and quick-service ordering for promo banners, pickup status chips, and cart callouts. In ecommerce, it's great for sale labels and featured product tiles where you want momentum but still want text to feel calm. I also use it in logistics and retail dashboards for step progress and emphasis badges, especially when the surrounding UI leans neutral.
Pair it with charcoal or warm gray so the yellow stays readable. On very cool screens it can look a touch more yellow than expected, so sanity-check next to your primary accent set.
