Vitamin C
#ff9900
Brighter, cleaner orange-gold than Jack-O
About Vitamin C
On my screen, Vitamin C looks like a clean citrus wedge with a little extra lightness on top. It feels more sunlit and airy than Cheese Please, which comes in hotter and more bluntly orange, and it reads less chunky than Jack-O, which has that pumpkin-glow punch. Compared to Dragon Ball, Vitamin C holds its yellow edge a bit longer, so it doesn't drift as fast toward snack-bright orange.
This is the the one you reach for when you need urgency without the glare. I use it for checkout and onboarding micro-prompts in retail and quick-service apps, plus dashboards and finance apps where you want status emphasis that still feels friendly over busy tables. It also works well in product media for promo callouts and "new offer" tiles, especially when the surrounding UI is off-white or pale grays.
Pair it with charcoal, ink, or a warm gray so the citrus stays readable and doesn't wash out on brighter displays.
