Yellow-Bellied

I think of Yellow-Bellied as the yellow you get after the first simmer, when it's still bright but not sharp like pure lemon. Compared to Hollandaise, it's less buttery and softer in depth, with a more playful, lighter feel than that golden thickness. And unlike Pure Sunshine's clean spring cheer, Yellow-Bellied comes across as calmer and slightly greener at the undertone, not toy-gloss but still energetic.

I reach for it when you need yellow with a light green drift in product detail pages and retail shopping surfaces. It reads "clear and friendly" on pricing chips, rating accents, and promo badges, especially in layouts that already lean green. You'll also see it hold up in food and catering apps where highlights need to feel controlled, not heavy like corn-adjacent yellows, and not too direct like Lemon Curd.

Quick watch-out: on very warm creams it can feel a touch pastel. A cooler neutral border or a deeper green background keeps it from going flat.
