Light Yellow

This one reads like a highlighter that's been softened by daylight. Light Yellow has that pale, sun-baked look, but it doesn't have Hive's punch or Banana's almost-background behavior. Compared to Butter, it's noticeably less saturated, so it won't glare. It feels warmer than pure white, with a gentle, buttery-leaning undertone that stays calm.

I use it when the UI needs warmth without turning into a highlight. Think dashboards and finance apps that want friendly sectioning, onboarding screens for logistics and SaaS where you're guiding attention, and help-center or docs pages that need subtle separation behind dark text. It also works well in product media thumbnails for retail and fintech when you want light areas that hold texture instead of competing with the image.

Pair it carefully with very cool grays, because it can start to look slightly dusty next to them. If you want it to feel cleaner, keep the surrounding grays on the warmer side.
