EGA Green

Crisp, saturated chartreuse-green for high-contrast UI
About EGA Green
EGA Green always reads like a vintage monitor green that got tuned slightly off the "technical" track. On my screen it lands cleaner and more grounded than Fluorescent Green, but it doesn't feel as sterile as Green Screen. Compared to Alien Abduction, it's less like a fully lit neon plate and more like a steady, readable channel.
It's brighter than a typical status green, with that cool, leafy undertone that stays green without drifting toward yellow. I reach for it in motion graphics lower-thirds, broadcast package graphics, and basic UI states in design systems where you want "signal" but not "alarm." It also works well in game HUD elements and industrial UI mockups where the background is dark and you still need the label to stay legible during motion.
One quirk: in huge filled areas it can feel a touch flat versus the sharper hit you get from the other greens, so I usually reserve it for strokes, labels, and focused blocks rather than full-screen fills.
