Cobalt
#030aa7
Deep cobalt blue with crisp purple punch
About Cobalt
Cobalt is what happens when you push blue deeper without letting purple take over. It's darker than Busty Blue, more saturated than Blue Hour, and it actually has temperature to it, there's a warmth in the undertone that keeps it from feeling clinical or trapped the way Blue Screen of Death does. It doesn't suffocate.
You reach for it in dark mode dashboards, finance platforms, and infrastructure tools where you need a blue that reads as authoritative but not hostile. Medical software, SaaS products, complex visualizations. It holds its weight against blacks and cool grays without that eye-strain glare the lighter siblings throw. Unlike Blue Screen of Death's refusal to bend, this one actually breathes a little.
Pair it with blacks and it lands sharp. Against cool neutrals it tightens without disappearing. Warm accents will still flatten against it, so don't expect that color harmony, this blue isn't built for compromise.
