Forlorn Cruise
#34466c
Deeper, muted violet-blue for restrained night panels
About Forlorn Cruise
On my screen, Forlorn Cruise looks like a purple that's been dragged slightly toward gray, not toward blue. It's quieter than Dragonfly and less heavy than Bonne Nuit, but it still reads cool and composed. The saturation never fully shows off, so the color feels more "settled" than muted-rich.
Compared to Blue Funk, it has a touch more purple character and doesn't feel as flat, so it lands closer to the center of the purple lane without getting lively. I use it for secondary UI where you want a clear element without the "navy anchor" feeling of Blue Funk, like status tags and divider lines in healthcare and fintech dashboards. It's the one you reach for when focused states need to stand out, but you don't want that deeper purple heaviness that Bonne Nuit can bring.
One note: because it sits mid-lightness with a desaturated undertone, warm grays can pull it toward dull plum. Pair it with cooler neutrals or clean whites and it holds its nerve.
