Naval Blue
#384b6b
Deep naval blue anchor with firm violet undertone
About Naval Blue
Picture a deep purple title bar on a mobile banking screen at night. Naval Blue lands heavier and bluer than the other purples I've been using, but it doesn't turn gray like Forlorn Cruise. Compared to Bonne Nuit, it keeps a tighter, more assertive blue undertone instead of going muted-rich. Where Dragonfly feels like a brighter margin highlight, this shade is the shade that holds the whole header together.
I treat it as the one you reach for when you need hierarchy without the "purple drift" of the brighter accents. You'll see it in dashboards and finance apps for primary chart lines, active filters, and bold link states. It also works in healthcare admin UIs for section headers and selected row treatments where you want calm authority, not plum softness.
Quirk: on warm grays it can look overdressed and a bit closed-in. I'd pair it with clean whites or cool neutrals so the blue edge stays crisp.
