Piccadilly Purple

Balanced purple with soft lavender lift for panels
About Piccadilly Purple
Piccadilly Purple is the purple I notice when a UI designer wants something that feels settled, not heavy. It's medium-light with a smoother, more lavender-leaning undertone than the dusk haze of Dusk, and it doesn't have Deep Indigo's sharper ink-like backbone. Compared to Freshly Purpleized, it holds a touch more body and color, so it reads more deliberate than "just diluted ink."
I use it for controlled interface accents in music products and creator dashboards, especially for active states, focus rings, and progress indicators where you want the purple to feel present but never urgent. It also works well in editorial sidebars for long reads and media playback controls, landing closer to a gentle cool violet than the grayier, dimmer look of Dusk.
One quirk: on very bright backgrounds it can feel slightly restrained, so pair it with a cleaner violet or crisp indigo if you need stronger hierarchy. This is the one I reach for when you want purposeful purple without the weight of deeper plums.
