Soul Anchor
#5c1c39
Muted aubergine red for calm focal blocks
About Soul Anchor
Soul Anchor reads like a dark, anchored garnet that holds its color instead of draining into maroon or turning rosy. It's deeper than Her Fierceness, but it doesn't go as somber and weighty as Siren. And compared to Merguez, it feels less smoky at the edges and more settled, with a cooler, steadier undertone that keeps it from flashing "hot."
I use it when the UI needs a red that stays readable at mid-depth without feeling glossy or wine-stained, especially in red status and system banners for B2B SaaS: failed provisioning, policy blocks, and account action reminders. It's also my pick for dashboards and workflow tables where the negative state should look intentional, not like an emergency stop. This is the one you reach for when the surrounding neutrals are charcoal and you want the red to feel grounded, not brick.
Pair it with soft creams or cool grays. If you drop it next to orange-leaning reds, it can look calmer and more controlled, so keep the neighboring accents restrained.
