About Patina

Patina reads like teal paint pulled slightly back and then left to settle on a building facade. It's more mellow than , less "water-thin" than , and not as muted and smoky as . You still get that blue-green tilt, but it feels firmer, with a little extra body in the midtones.

I use it when I want the one you reach for as a supportive surface in dashboards and finance apps, especially in fintech and healthcare admin screens where you need calm without going quiet. It's great for card fills, empty-state panels, and selected-row or focus highlights when the rest of your blues are either brighter or more gray-leaning. Compared to the nearby teals, Patina stays teal-true while feeling more grounded than the lighter options.

One quirk: on very pale backgrounds, it can pick up a touch more green than expected, so I like pairing it with cooler grays or navy text to keep the temperature steady.
