Nickel

Neutral gray with warm, matte control in layouts
About Nickel
Nickel looks like the face of a brushed metal panel after a long day of hands-on work. It's a mid-light gray that holds onto a soft, slightly cool cast, but it never turns as muted or smoky as Lost Space, and it doesn't pick up that gentle stay-grounded warmth you get from Million Grey. Compared to Argent, it's just a touch less neutral and a bit more metallic in its undertone, so it feels more like a finished surface than a plain wall.
I reach for Nickel in dashboards and finance apps when you want cards and tables to recede without getting washed out. Billing consoles, ops reporting views, and analytics UI for media platforms all benefit from the way this shade stays crisp around dense copy. It's also handy for settings screens and data-heavy CMS tooling where you want a cooler backdrop than Argent but you still need legibility and structure.
Quirk: pair it with either clean, cool grays or slightly brighter whites for headers. Next to very rusty or yellow accents it can make those colors feel a little more aggressive than they should.
