Fly a Kite
#c8daf5
Soft, sky-blue lavender for lighter purple sections
About Fly a Kite
Picture a kite tail fluttering against a pale, cottony sky. Fly a Kite is that airy purple feeling, but it doesn't go as icy as Icy Plains and it doesn't warm into the mauve-gray territory of Beefy Pink. It stays light and softly saturated, with a gentle cool-leaning undertone that reads playful instead of distant.
In UI, I use it for things that should feel friendly without turning into candy. Think onboarding panels, feature cards, and empty-state illustrations in health and wellness apps, plus product landing pages for skincare and light consumer packaging where you want purple-family warmth but not periwinkle-cool. It also sits well in motion graphics because it holds its tone through subtle gradients.
One quirk: place it next to Blue Lips and Fly a Kite will feel a touch more grounded, like it has more pigment in the mix. Pair with soft creams or cool grays so it stays crisp rather than drifting.
