Tennis Ball
#dfff4f
Very light chartreuse green for high-alert accents
About Tennis Ball
Tennis Ball reads like a fresh, springy green that's been hit with a bit of sunlight but stays cool-headed. It's lighter than Green Ooze, yet it doesn't feel swampy. And compared to Banana Bandanna, it doesn't have that punchy yellow-forward shove. What you notice first is the neon-clean lightness and the slightly blue-leaning undertone that keeps it from going lemony or paint-smeared.
I use it for badges that need to be seen without screaming: sustainability dashboards, farm-to-table menus, and wellness app status pills. It also works well for game inventory highlights and map callouts where the background is mostly cream and butter tones, because it stays distinct while feeling fresher than the yellower accents. Pair it with warm off-whites and deep charcoal, and keep the text weight up so it doesn't look washed on near-white.
One small quirk: on very cool grays it can start to look a little too crisp, so I usually nudge the surrounding neutrals warmer.
