About Major Magenta
On my screen, Major Magenta feels like a clean magenta snap instead of a rosy soft-focus. It's less "bubblegum red" than Pansy and Diva Pink, and it doesn't get the creamy, candy-lean of Flamboyant Flamingo. Compared to those, it holds onto more true magenta character: a slightly deeper, more saturated tone that reads sharper than the pink-leaning neighbors.
I reach for dashboards and finance apps when you need a featured state that still feels precise, not friendly-smooth. It's great for priority tags in streaming/media ops, "in review" or "escalated" chips in moderation queues, and campaign controls where the red family often turns too pink. Pair it with off-white type and cool grays so it stays the one you reach for when the UI needs emphasis with real punch.
Quirk: on very warm surfaces it can start to feel a bit more assertive and less airy, so test it against your current "alert" reds before locking the system token.
