Lunar Outpost
#828287
Muted moon-gray for grounded, low-contrast UI zones
About Lunar Outpost
I think of Lunar Outpost as a gray that's already outside the main spotlight. It reads cooler and more steely than Dusty Chimney's gentler warmth, and it's less dusk-soft than In the Twilight, so it doesn't feel like the light is fading. Compared with Mecha Metal, it's a touch lighter and less matter-of-fact, which keeps it from feeling like raw machine skin.
This is the one you reach for when you want calm structure without losing clarity. I use it for section headers, list row backgrounds, and card surfaces in logistics and education platforms, especially where the UI already has a lot of content and you need the gray to stay quiet but not disappear. It also sits well in healthcare portals for dense forms and settings screens, where you want neutrality that doesn't skew bluish or lifeless.
Quirk: next to near-whites, it can look slightly flatter, so I'll lean on sharper borders or a stronger text tone to keep the hierarchy crisp.
