In the Twilight

It lands lighter than Dark Ages, so it doesn't sink the layout, and calmer than Abandoned Spaceship, so it won't read overly technical or restless next to controls.

I usually reach for this as a mid-surface: secondary panels, section headers, and card backgrounds where you want structure without the heaviness of Dark Ages. It's also a good fit for dashboard tables and admin UI in logistics, education platforms, and healthcare portals, especially when your content layer is busy and you need the gray to stay out of the way. Unlike Dusty Chimney's just-enough warmth, In the Twilight sits cooler and more restrained, which helps it blend with both cool and neutral accent sets.

Quirk: it can feel flat beside very pale whites. If the hierarchy starts to blur, push your text tone darker or add a sharper border to recover edge definition.
