Gryphon

About Gryphon
Gryphon sits lighter than Classic Movie but with more restraint than Grey Area. It's warmer than Blue Blood without the obvious temperature shift, there's just enough brown in the gray to keep it from feeling sterile, but not enough to make it cozy. This is the gray that works in the middle distance: present, but not demanding.
Reach for it in design systems, product interfaces, and admin dashboards where you need a surface that reads as intentional without the weight of darker grays. It works as a secondary background, a card layer, form container, or that middle-gray text color that sits between the hierarchy without disappearing. Lighter than what you'd use for body copy, darker than your lightest interactions. It pairs well with both warm and cool accents because it's genuinely neutral, the brown whisper keeps cool accents from feeling harsh, and the gray keeps warm accents from tipping too cozy.
The difference: it's lighter and warmer than Classic Movie's honesty, but with less of the tension that Grey Area carries. It doesn't ask you to decide. That makes it reliable, maybe a little invisible, which is exactly the point when you're building something that needs to feel balanced.
