Jumbo
#878785
Warm neutral gray with softer, balanced tone
About Jumbo
Jumbo looks like a slightly heavier, medium-gray field laid over a bright monitor glow. Same family as Argent, Lunar Base, and Mithril, but it doesn't feel as airy as Lunar Base, and it doesn't hold the clean, true-neutral line that Argent does. Compared to Mithril, it reads a touch more grounded and less misty, with a neutral-to-warm slant that keeps panels from feeling cold.
I use Jumbo for places where you want structure without that "this will disappear under dark text" trick. It's great for dashboards and finance apps where the grid needs to feel solid in long sessions, and for GIS and logistics consoles where side panels, legends, and table headers stay legible without shouting. In media workflows, it works well behind video review thumbnails and subtitle timing lanes, especially when you're pairing it with crisp type and a little extra contrast in active states.
Quirk: because it sits closer to midtone weight than Lunar Base, it can make white UI elements feel a bit flatter, so I usually reserve pure white for key highlights and use softer light grays for the rest.
