About Lavish Spending
Lavish Spending is the purple I see when a brand system wants glamour without slipping into the dusty, polite stuff. It's notably deeper than Amethyst, but it doesn't go ink-cold or muted like Matt Purple. Versus Crown Jewels, it's less warm and display-buzzy, more velvet and controlled, with a smoother, richer saturation that reads deliberate rather than showy.
I use it for product and editorial moments where purple has to carry weight: luxury packaging spot accents, headlines in fashion and entertainment covers, and UI states that need to feel premium in dashboards and finance apps. It's also solid for creative workflow interfaces where you want presence on dark surfaces, but you don't want the slightly flirtier heat of Crown Jewels. If Aster feels like it's keeping a low profile, this is the one you reach for when the design needs to land with confidence.
Pair it with near-neutral creams and deep charcoal for crisp definition. Keep adjacent purples in the same "rich and settled" lane, or it can start to look flatter by comparison.
