Kosher Khaki
#888877
Earthy khaki undertone over a muted gray
About Kosher Khaki
Kosher Khaki reads like a mid-gray that has been nudged toward sand. On my monitor it feels a touch warmer and less desaturated than the other office grays, so it doesn't give that neutral, workmanlike "no opinions" vibe you get from Jumbo, and it doesn't float into the cooler calm of Lunar Base. Next to Mithril, it's a bit more grounded and slightly more tan in the undertone, so panels feel anchored, not softly veiled.
I use Kosher Khaki when the UI needs everyday structure without turning into a cold slate. Think field-service dashboards, fleet and logistics maps, and procurement portals where lots of tables, filters, and sidebar labels stay in view for hours. It also shows up well behind video review annotations and waveform side rails, especially when you want active states to look crisp but not jump at you.
One quirk: because it's warmer than the surrounding grays, it pairs best with cooler text colors for headlines, otherwise the whole interface can start to feel a little muted.
