Forgotten Sandstone

Forgotten Sandstone is lighter than Desert Dune and less deliberate about its warmth, it doesn't lean in, it just happens to be there. Where Desert Dune announces itself on the page, this one sits quieter, closer to Cathedral's restraint but with a touch more lift. It's the gray that feels slightly sun-bleached, the kind you'd see on old paper that's been left alone for a while.

You'll reach for it in long-form publishing, reading apps, and archival interfaces where you need neutral that still feels human. It pairs well with dark type without demanding attention, works behind photography without competing, and keeps product interfaces from feeling sterile. Unlike Ashes to Ashes, which softens everything around it, Forgotten Sandstone holds its own, there's actual substance here, even if it's understated.

One thing: it's light enough that very pale accents can disappear into it. But saturated colors will land cleanly, especially warmer ones. It's the shade that works harder than it looks.
