Hot Sand
#ccaa00
Drier, brighter golden sand with hot undertone
About Hot Sand
Hot Sand looks like a thin layer of sunlight dusted onto a green label, warmer and cleaner than the honeyed gold of Honeycomb. Where Honeycomb can feel a bit "overhead-lit," Hot Sand is more sun-spot direct, with less dusty heaviness than Deadly Mustard.
I use it when I want high-clarity warmth that still reads as a green-family accent, not a warning. It's the one I reach for in CPG front-of-pack callouts, ecommerce promo ribbons, and category/tag pills where you need fast attention without slipping into that "serious stain" energy. In UI, it works well for dashboards and finance apps when you're highlighting a positive state, a featured segment, or a muted CTA near cleaner greens.
Quick note: because Hot Sand is light and slightly more golden than Haystack, it can feel a touch assertive next to creamy neutrals. Pair it with a softer olive or warmer off-white so it lands smooth, not scratchy.
